Monthly Report for June

Written by Teacher Margaret

Jambo you all. We at Happy Day are ok and back to school after being off yesterday due to madaraka day. Which is a national day in Kenya.
We will be taking our mid term exams next week. This will enable the teachers to know the academic performance of the kids in their classes.
We currently have 50 kids in the school most of whom come from extremely poor families. We are providing porridge during break time and food during lunch time. This goes a long way in ensuring that they all come to school. Our main aim is to ensure that they are in school during school hours. Thus minimizing child labour and child abuse. Thanks to all those who give in one way or the other.
We recently had visitors from Norway who were brought by Marianne. The visitors were her brother and his wife. They brought with them writting books, pencils and sweets which they shared with us. They also gave us 2500 ksh which was used to buy uniforms for some of the most needy kids. All we can say is thank you sooooo much for your generousity

Our budget this month is
SALARIES........... 50,000
FOOD...................23,000
INSURANCE.........14,000
WATER...................3,000
TOTAL... 90,000

THANK YOU AND BE BLESSED ALWAYS
