Monthly Report for March

Written by Teacher Margaret

We have come to the end of first term 2015 and we thank God for the far He has brought us. We also thank all our Happy Day family and friends for all that you have been doing for the project.
We just did our end term exams and are in the process of marking and grading the children. We are closing for the easter holidays on thursday 9th April 2015 and we will be back for the second term on 4th May 2015.
We are happy to report that we now have tap water in the school and a 30liter can for storing safe drinking water. We say asante sana ( thank you very much) to all those who were concerned with that. First term was a success to us both accademically and socially because the teachers were able to finish the school first term syllabus on time. They have written their reports which i handed over to Marianne so that she can sent them to Annelene  who will possibly put them in the blog. We welcome any suggestion, correction and even encouragement from anyone of you so that we in unison can be able to improve the lives of this young boys and girls. We had the plessure of being visited by Jorunn Aalstad who is Mariannes sister. She brought toys, clothes, pencils, rubber, sharpeners, crayons and above all she brought love and happiness to the children. We say thank you to that young boy in Norway who found it good to give his clothes and toys to these children. The smile on their faces and the gladness in their heart was put their by you. Marianne, thanks for clothing Jackson Hamisi with school uniform after you saw the tattered shirt he was wearing to school. His father sent me to say thank you on his behalf .
The teachers reports will be put in the blog by Marianne and Ben will do the terms expenditure report.
