Monthly Report for September/October

We greet you all our friends and partners. We have come to the end of september and the start of October. September was a good month for the school since we were able to teach the children on the hygiene especially about taking care of the mouth. Our staff were also insured with the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).We are really grateful for the initiative.
October is a very busy month in the Kenyan school calendar since this is when national exams in
all schools start. Our school is not sitting for the exams because they are done by children in class 8 and those in form 4 in high school. This month also has the Nairobi Trade Fare which is held at the Jamuhuri show grounds. Most schools take there children to the show ground to learn, play and have fun. This year we are not able to take the kids to the show but we will give them a break on friday so that they can be taken by their families to the show. Though we know that most of them will not be taken due to financial constrains.

Teachers submitted their class reports and they are as follows:

I have some challenges that i face in my class. We have a few text books which we share one text book per subject. The children do not have enough writing materials though the school management has been buying for them. We thank our sponsors and the school management for providing porridge and food for the children. This has helped a lot because the kids come from poor backgrounds.
I thank you all for the salaries and for the hospital insurance.
