Once again the school year is ending. This is the 17th school year we have been operating and we are so proud! Some sponsors have been with us since the start and are the most relible and loyal - we are so grateful for everyone that is supporting this project, whether you have been with us from the start or joined up later. The relible funds for this project are, however, not enough to cover the monthly expences for salaries and food - not to mention arrangements like the one we hope can be arranged now, or maintance or other non-regular expences. Those expences have always been covered by random supporters or extra from our loyal ones. This time is no exception - we need your support to pull this end-of year-arrangement off.
Our teachers are paid through out the year - even in holidays, as in Norway. The income they receive is modest and does not cover the living expences which is constantly rising in Kenya. We do however keep a competetive salary level, and would like to keep it that way.
We hope to generate more steady income, though any support is of help.

Jambo Happy Day family,
We trust you are all fine. We at Happy Day Junior school are fine.
We are just a few days to end of third term 2026. This is always the shortest term in the academic calender and equally the longest holiday too.
Schools are closing by 16/10/2026 to allow students who are taking their national exams to have enough space for the same.
Each year we hold graduation ceremonies for kids who have reached Pp1 ( pre primary 1) as they transition from pre school to grade one.
Our current Pp1 class has 15 kids.
For the graduation to take place, they require ::
1. Gowns.. ( hired @ 200 per gown)... 3000
2. Certificates...300 per child.. 4500
3. Presents...350 per child... 5250
4. Food ( for all kids as we close)..

The above is what is required for the graduation which doubles up as the farewell party as we head to the long Christmas holidays.
This are memorable moments that we create for the kids since we all know that they come from extremely poor backgrounds and so such a party leaves a big impact in their minds and lives.
We hope it is possible.
We are also about to do our end of term assessment tests ( exams). We therefore need to purchase the exams. We require..
