Monthly report for November
Written by Teacher Margaret
Our feeding program is on going even though food prices have gone up. Especially this term has been a big challenge to me. Like for example last week thursday and friday I had to find ways and means of feeding the school kids because we had no food, it got finished on Wednesday. Today is also a big challenge to me. We say thank you to Marianne and Dan for always finding time to come and visit the school. We are always very happy when we have visitors. Our monthly budget still remains the same.
At the end of this term there will be a ceremony for the pre-unit kids. We will have some food and small gifts for the kids. The budget for the ceremony will be:
Gowns: 6000 KSH
Certificates: 5000 KSH
Presents: 5000 KSH
Drinks and snacks: 3000 KSH
TOTAL: 19000 KSH
Thank you all for the continued support

Nye sko

Monthly report for September and October
Written by Teacher Margaret
Morning to you all. We are greatfull to you all for the continued support that you give to us. Be blessed. This term began on a low note because of the ongoing public schools teachers strike which has been going on since we opened for third term.
The strikes have affected all schools because we are at times forced to be out of school in fear of the safety of the children. The case is still in court and we hope that a solution to the case will soon be found. This term is the shortest of the three terns and it goes for 11 weeks while the rest go for 14weeks each
Yesterday Marianne, Kjersti and Dan came to visit us and all the kids got something to play with. They were very happy and we say AHSANTE SANA to you for the gifts. I am sure those who got the school shoes and shirts will never forget the good deed.
Teacher Jacinter went for further studies but she was replaced by teacher Mercy who had been working with us in 2013 while in college. She is now fully trained and we hope she will be of great help to the school and more so the kids.
Thanks also for enabling us to get a new jiko (stove) after the old one broke it's stands.
The budget for every month reflects the expenditures. I will sit with Ben and make an annual financial report at the end of this term in November.
Our budget for Sept/Oct is as follows
SALARIES..........50,000
FOOD...................20,000
INSURANCE.......14,000
HYGIENE KIT...... 5,000
STATIONARY...... 5,000
TOTAL.........,... ..,.98,000
